No CBD will not get you high. CBD has no psychoactive effects. In large doses it can cause people to feel drowsy, nauseas, fatigued and irritable.

How CBD effects you depends on the dosage you take, the way you take it and your body. The effects of CBD are not immediately felt in some people, and other begin feeling its effects very soon after consumption. The consensus is that CBD is subtle, but you can feel something.

The amount of CBD you should take depends on your body weight, the condition you’re treating, your individual body chemistry and the concentration of CBD in the product your using or consuming. When it comes to dosing CBD there are a lot of variables but people tend to find the dosage that works for them quite quickly. We advise starting with a medium to large dosage of 20-30mg (miligrams per day) for a week and then recording how you feel and then increase or decrease the dosage from there.

This is what is called the uptake and refers to the amount of CBD that actually makes it into your system and takes effect. The quickest means of getting CBD into the system is sublingually (orally) with a tincture and vaping it. These two methods get CBD into you’re blood stream the quickest. A CBD gummy or capsule or anything that is digested would have to absorb through the digestive tract which takes slightly longer and makes for a less potent effect.

When CBD is working effectively the only thing one should notice is the absence or reduction in whats it’s being used for. For example; if you suffer from joint pain in your hands and you apply a strong CBD topical cream to the effected area and wait a few minutes. You should begin to feel a reduction in the pain or complete absence from the pain. These kinds of effects are slightly harder to track with using CBD to enhance your mood or reduce your anxiety. We recommend taking the same dosage everyday for 2-3 weeks and then recording how you feel.

There is a lot of evidence, scientific and anecdotal, to suggest that CBD can be a highly effective remedy for arthritis. It is important to remember that CBD works very well with some peoples bodies and does not work so effectively for others. We recommend trying CBD for 2-3 weeks in order to give it a chance to build up in your system and take effect.

There have been a few studies into the effectiveness of CBD for Fibromyalgia. Researchers could not decisively say why CBD appears to reduce some of the symptoms brought on by Fibromyalgia. Researchers also can’t conclusively say why CBD works for some Fibromyalgia sufferers and not for others. A 2016 study suggested that a lack of endocannabinoids — which are neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors — may be at the root of chronic pain syndromes like Fibromyalgia. Taking CBD may correct this deficiency in some user

Due to the recent boom in all things CBD many unscrupulous sellers have rushed into the market. Which is a shame because high quality CBD can be a really effective treatment for lots of conditions. Firstly ensure the raw hemp was grown somewhere trustworthy like the United States or Switzerland. Secondly ensure that the quantity of CBD in the product is a meaningful amount, for 5-10mg in a bottle of water will have little to no effect. The best way you can ensure that the CBD your purchasing is trustworthy is buy a reputable brand from a reputable retailer. Another thing to take into consideration is that big high street retailers like Holland & Barrett and Boots do not stock CBD products with high concentrations of CBD in them. These products tend to be overpriced and under effective because they are too weak.
